Hi all parents
With exams coming to an end, Derek has very kindly offered to run some training sessions for the Under 17 group. The plan is to aim for very focused, one-to-one sessions in the nets using the bowling machine, which we have seen has been really helpful in improving technique for all of the boys that we have done this with. Derek has even suggested to use a camera, to give the boys a memory card to take away and watch on a PC at home. But to do this, we would need written permission from you as their parent.
We discussed the idea with the boys after today's game, and most seemed interested. The suggestion is to run these sessions on a Wednesday afternoon, from 3.30pm (and probably running for 2 to 3 hours, depending on how many boys turn up), and starting from Wednesday 27th June.
These sessions are entirely voluntary. They should be fun, but also serious when Derek is working with any individual. We plan to start on Wednesday 27th, and you will need to provide a camera memory card if your son does want to take away a record of his training session in the nets (we will advise technical details either on Sunday, or at the first session)
Please can you confirm to Hans-Peter Rosoman if you would agree to us (the Club) filming your son as part of our training programme?
